Every weekend in December, we’ll host some of our favorite local producers selling their products in our first ever Holiday Markets making it easy to gift local this holiday season!
The Cookie Jar DC – Washington, DC – Finally, cookie dough you can sneak from the mixing bowl that is safe to eat. A dream come true! Our edible cookie dough contains the cookie ingredients you love minus the eggs and with heat treated flour, so it’s safe, fun, and dough’licious to eat raw. It’s 100% preservative-free, and except for a few candy toppings, our ingredients are all natural.
If you’ve ever tried to make cookies, but only half the bowl of dough makes it into the oven (with the other half making it into your mouth)…and all along you hear your mom’s voice in your head saying, “Don’t eat that, it has raw eggs in it, you’re going to get sick!”…then this is for you! Now you can indulge your cookie dough craving, and you don’t have to pretend you’re making cookies!
Chouquette Chocolates – Bethesda, MD – Established 2010. After 15 years in retail and banking, Sarah Dwyer, owner Chouquette Artisan Chocolates and Confections, left the business world for a year at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and learned how to make European-style, soft and flavorful caramels. Using real ingredients: sugar, local butter and cream with natural infusions of balsamic caramel, raspberry, vanilla beans and single origin coffee beans, she creates confections with family-owned Fair-Trade Guittard chocolate. Decorating each piece with colored cocoa butter, or edible gold dust, Chouquette chocolates are as beautiful as they are delicious.
Supreme Core Cider – Washington, DC – Founders Will Sullivan and Kyle Crosby had a problem: They loved West Coast style craft ciders, but couldn’t find any in Washington, DC. So, they decided to do it themselves. With a shared vision of bringing full-bodied, well-balanced ciders – with craft beer sensibilities – to the DMV, Will and Kyle started making journeys out to local orchards. After a lot of picking, crushing, blending and tasting (the best part…), they were finally ready to share their creations!
